The Kendal Mountain Tour brings the spirit of the world-famous festival of adventure, outdoor culture and storytelling to Sunderland. Join us at The Fire Station for a handpicked selection of award-winning short films featuring breathtaking landscapes, bold expeditions and unforgettable stories from around the world.
The experience goes beyond the screen. Hear from an inspiring guest speaker, fresh from their own adventures, as they share exclusive insights and bring the stories to life. Local representatives will also take to The Fire Station stage to explain how they are helping more people enjoy the outdoors and how you can get involved. Ticket holders will also have the chance to win a bundle of outdoor and adventure equipment from the sponsors supporting the UK Tour.

Established in 1980, Kendal Mountain Festival celebrates every aspect of outdoor and adventure culture. This internationally acclaimed gathering brings together filmmakers, writers, adventurers and enthusiasts through films, talks, exhibitions and activities that inspire a love of the outdoors. Kendal Mountain provides a global platform for stories of nature, exploration, adventure and discovery. Held over four days each November, the Festival presents more than 200 live sessions, featuring over 300 speakers, 150 films and 60 activities, and welcomes more than 25,000 adventure-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts.
