Alabama 3 Acoustic

They soundtracked one of the world’s greatest TV shows The Sopranos, and now the Alabama 3 hit the road armed only with a battered acoustic guitar and harmonica.

In homage to the classic delta blues slide players like Mississippi Fred McDowell, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker and their own Rockfree Base, they present their narco-acoustic slant on Alabama 3’s classic tracks including ‘Woke Up This Morning’ and ‘Country Boy’ as well as the music that’s inspired them along the way.

Expect a style of guitar that combines elements of both MacDowell and White, with a hint of banjo picking, and tried to give it a more modern, urban twist.

Complete with Larry Love's whiskey-soaked vocals, Devlin Love’s soulful chorus and Nick Reynolds bad-ass blues on harmonica, they provide a raucous show, which is in no way constrained by the boring maxim that often goes with acoustic gigs.

Alabama 3 have played all around the world in festivals, theatres, concert halls and even prisons. Now they’re on a mission to get you mashed at The Fire Station.
